Hi, my name is Elle Crawford and I am a rising junior at Mount Vernon. And with a heavy heart earlier this week my long time childhood best friend and neighbor Max Krohn got into a devastating accident.
Max and I’s friendship is something that I have always cherished. Before he started Blessed Trinity this year we used to drive every day to school at Mount Vernon for years. Aside from that we did absolutely everything together like riding bikes around our neighborhood, going to the Branches pool everyday in the summer, swim and dive team, Mario kart, eating pizza. Just all the fun things every kid would do with their best friend.
Max truly shines a light of love and kindness everywhere he goes. He would always look out for me and support me without question. Every single time we walked home from our neighborhood pool he would walk me to my house to make sure I got home safely and got inside the house ok. One summer my bike broke so I had been walking to and from the pool and Max had his bike but he chose to walk just so I wasn’t alone.
If you know Max you know he is extremely competitive and a fighter. He has always been an amazing athlete with swim and dive but he absolutely loves football and lacrosse. I remember going to Max’s first high school lacrosse game and him scoring his first goal. He was so happy, but he was also just as excited to watch his teammates score and make plays. I find this ironic because Max is my neighbor, and he constantly exemplifies what it means to truly love your neighbor.
I am so lucky and I thank God every single day that I have Max in my life. Please keep my friend in your thoughts and prayers as well as his family. Everything donated will be sent to them to support Max throughout his recovery.
