Max Murray Legacy Fund

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 9th, the family of Maxwell Murray's world was devastatingly altered forever as Max tragically succumbed to injuries sustained during a car accident in Phoenix, Arizona.

As the sons of Sports TV legend, Betsy Mungovan, Max and Mike were first introduced to the NBC Sports family, traveling alongside Betsy as youngsters, before entering the "family business" with their own careers in the industry serving in various positions in operations, production and technical roles. We quite literally saw Mike and Max grow up in front of our eyes, and shared Betsy's excitement as they made her a grandmother with kids of their own.

While we might not technically be family, we share the same bonds, sometimes even closer bonds than our actual families. And what makes those relationships so special in our TV world is that we're there for each other in whatever capacity necessary when anyone in our family is in pain, grieving or in need.

While we process this shocking and tragic loss, we hope you'll join us in making a donation for Grace (age 4) and Ronan (age 2), in honor of our love for their Dad, Betsy's son, Mike's brother, and our friend, so that Max's children know their TV family has their backs.
