Maximiliano Contreras Funeral & Memorial Funds
We are writing to share the devastating news that our dear lovely roommate, Max, passed away in New York City. The death of a child or younger sibling is a traumatic experience that no one ever wants to go through, and this is especially true when the grieving people do not reside in the same state, much alone in the same nation. As friends of Max in New York City, we would like to offer our support to his family in Mexico during this difficult time of grief by helping out with funeral costs.
While we were all scheduled to travel to Mexico together, Max wanted to save additional funds for the trip. He worked as a service worker and picked up a second job on top of his existing one to bring in some more income. His mother is in Mexico and Max was ready to apply for a visa for his Mom and wished to obtain a green card for his mother. On an ordinary night, Max was on his way home one night Max suffered a tragic accident and passed away.
Therefore, as members of Max's chosen family, we ask for your assistance in contributing to the costs of the memorial services and funerals. To respect his family's wishes, a memorial ceremony will be held in New York City, and then he will be flown to Mexico for his last resting place.
In addition, we need a little more assistance to help pay Max's half of the rent for July. He shared an apartment with two roommates; his portion of the rent was $1,100. So that we, his friends and roommates, can have one whole month to look for a new place, while we take time to grief and pack Max’s belongings.
Therefore, we have started this GoFundMe campaign to raise $5500. The funeral and flying expenses for the family will cost around $4000; we are going to share any additional money with his family during this time of loss.
Max was an outstanding individual and a great friend. He was always vibrant, courteous, daring, extroverted, and never lacked for life. Max was the type of person who, even when he was going through a difficult time or was burdened with a lot of difficulties, was able to put those things aside and put you first to soothe you. He was a shining example for everyone around him, and his presence will be sorely missed. Although Max had an impact on the lives of a significant number of people, now it is our responsibility to support his family at this difficult time. He will live on in our memories forever as a sweet, caring, and hardworking young ‘Mother’.
Please make a generous donation and help share this fundraiser campaign with your family and friends. With your assistance, we can say our goodbyes in the manner he deserves. We are very fortunate to have known and been friends with him.
Thank you in advance for your time, consideration, and generous contribution. We ask that you continue to pray for his whole family.
God bless you!!

We as friends of Max, and his NYC family would like to give back to his family in this hard time of loss. Losing your kid, younger sibling is a trauma no one wants to go through, especially when you don’t live in the same state, let alone country.
As we are all part of Max’s chosen family we ask for your support to help pay the costs of the funeral and memorial services. To respect the family's wishes Max will have a memorial service here in NYC and then will be flown out to Mexico for his final rest. Additionally we are asking for a bit more support to help pay Max’s portion of July’s rent to help us (his roommates) give us a month to find a new place to move.
It was an honor to have gotten to known Max and be in his presence. Rest peacefully Queen Mother Stone.
