In Memory of Maxine Wiggins-Lewis

Maxine "Ms. Lewis" Lewis, a devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and colleague, transitioned to GLORY on September 6, 2024. Ms. Lewis loved to sing and was a dedicated member in her church choir. She enjoyed cooking and prepared meals for family, friends, neighbors, and anyone she met who was hungry. For 16 years, Ms. Lewis was a dedicated public servant as a utility assistance program team member at the Department of Energy and Environment and was instrumental in serving the residents of the District of Columbia.

With a multitude of accomplishments, both in her personal life and in her role at DOEE, she is most remembered by her love ones for her kind and gentle spirit that she shared with words of encouragement, warm smiles, and laughter. She will forever hold a place in our hearts and will be missed.
