Max's Cochlear Implant Upgrades!!

Hi,
My name is Max and I've been wearing Cochlear Implants since December 25th, 2009. Before that, I had been wearing Hearing Aids for 22 years of my life and the profound change of clarity in sound had immediately increased my ability to interact with other human beings-- one of the biggest enjoyments of being on this planet full of fascinating beings and creatures.
I am a Bi-Lateral Cochlear implantee which means I have two processors to maintain and use. Currently, I have the Nucleus Freedoms, which are equivalent to the Xbox of the Cochlear Americas lines. I've just put in an order to upgrade to the Nucleus 6, which is equivalent to the Xbox 1. WOW! It's going to be a heck of an update.
With the work that I do and my passion in bike polo, pinball and science fiction books, I don't necessarily have the means to get this upgrade without paying through credit card debt. As I am already facing tens of thousands of student debt to pay off, the upgrade seems so difficult to justify financially.
I already know that hearing even better than before will increase the quality of my life to something that I could never have imagined before. Thanks to technology this is possible but thanks to you, it will be a reality.
