May Farm Sanctuary is a nonprofit corporation based in Cheatham County TN.
Our mission is to provide a safe haven for rescued farm animals while growing awareness of animal welfare issues. Our farm will be a welcoming environment for visitors to meet and interact with farm animals. We believe it is important that people are able to experience the amazing personalities of these animals. Our long-term goal is to play a part in lessening our communities dependence on factory farming and live a more sustainable lifestyle.
In April we relocated to Nashville from Austin, TX in order to acquire a property suitable for farm animals...and our budget. During our time in Austin we were lucky enough to find ourselves volunteering at the Austin Farm Sanctuary, and Central Texas Pig Rescue. We absolutely loved our time there and were inspired to start our own farm sanctuary. So after no luck finding land in the lone star state, we decided to relocate to Nashville.
Our property is a quick 20 minute drive from Nashville. We believe this will make it very easy for visitors to see our operation and help grow awareness in our city.
All money raised will go exclusively towards fencing and outbuildings.
