Maya recover from triple-heart by-pass surgery

We are fundraising to help Maya. She recently suffered a severe heart attack and needed triple-heart bypass surgery. Maya is a generous person who works in respite for a few families. She is quick to give, to smile, to care. Maya is a welcoming person who gives of herself constantly. She does not have benefits, which means that she will not have income in the months of her recovery. This will be unneeded stress when Maya is at her most vulnerable. She and her husband will be facing added costs for travel to appointments and to see specialists. As her husband returns to work, they will face added costs for in-home care in the early stages of recovery. And because she does not have benefits, there will also be additional medical fees not covered by OHIP. These additional costs combined with an existing mortgage and other bills, will significantly burden them. We estimate that her income usually is about $45,000 per year and calculated a fundraising goal of 4 months of income based on that. Let's help get Maya back to health so she can return to all those who love her (humans and animals) and miss her dearly.
