Maya Barnard-Davidson
Donation protected
The Davidson family is experiencing a terribly uncertain period with their daughter. A group of close friends of the family have set up this account on their behalf to help offset medical bills, living expenses while down in Portland, and possible future rehabilitation costs.
On New Year's Eve 2014, Maya was involved in a serious skiing accident on her beloved Mt. Hood. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was Life-Flighted to OHSU in Portland, Oregon. Maya sustained multiple bone fractures, a punctured lung, and severe head trauma. On Tuesday, January 6th, she underwent surgery to remove a section of her skull in order to allow for brain swelling. As of January 7th, her collapsed lung is healing and she is breathing with the help of a ventilator. She is receiving the very best care in the trauma ICU at OHSU.
If you can donate anything to help ease the huge financial burden Maya and her family are facing during this excrutiatingly difficult time, it will be much appreciated.
Please keep Maya, her family, and her doctors and nurses at OHSU in your thoughts and prayers.
