Maya's Bat Mitzvah campaign for Camp Friendship
Tax deductible
I am volunteering at a pop-up food pantry at Camp Friendship for my Bat Mitzvah project. I have been packing and distributing food for those in need as part of their volunteer program. I've always been passionate about homelessness and poverty in general but when COVID19 struck, it stepped those feelings up another level. I had never seen so much poverty before and knew that I had to do what I could to help. Camp Friendship was a perfect opportunity to help as much as I could. They are doing so many good things for people who need it. So I am asking you, if you are able to, it would mean so much to me if you would donate whatever you can to Camp Friendship.
I started with a goal of $613 because there are 613 mitzvot (good deeds) in the Torah. I have now updated my goal to $3000. Thank you to everyone for being so generous!
More information about Camp Friendship: Camp Friendship was founded in 1976 as a not-for-profit youth service organization whose mission is to provide underserved youth, from New York City, with the tools, confidence and support to become healthy, successful and responsible citizens.
