Mayflower St. House Fire

Our neighbor Ezra's home was devastated in a fire on April 27, 2018. He was lucky to make it out alive, but the house is uninhabitable and very few of his belongings were able to be salvaged. Ezra lives alone and without family nearby, but a group of his neighbors on Mayflower St. are raising funds to help him through this time. Ezra does have homeowner's insurance but there will be a lot of expenses associated with getting re-settled, and not all of them will be reimbursed by insurance. Please help out with a small donation if you can!

Side note: Ezra is concerned about what happens if people donate money he doesn't end up needing, and whether there's a way for him to pay it back. We made a plan that if there is money leftover from this campaign that he doesn't need, he'll donate it to a worthy organization, or to the next family in our area that experiences a catastrophic house fire.

GoFundMe has asked me to update this page to address the disparity between the name mentioned in the story above (Ezra) and the name that I provided months ago as authorized to take the withdrawals (Larry).  As many of you already know, this is one and the same person; our neighbor's legal name is Larry B. - that's the name associated with his bank account - but he took the name Ezra years ago and that's the one that his friends and neighbors know him by.  Thanks to the team at GoFundMe for their concern about transparency and legitimacy of the fundraiser!  Ezra AKA Larry is extremely grateful for this help.
