Your fear I feel and it is personal. In each moment our hair represents unique individuality. The texture is undeniable and difficult to conceal and it goes deeper than the color of our skin. These coils are a direct symbol of who we are.




It has been shaved clean, “lined up” squared, a 1 week fading box. Grown out, than stopped. Cut too short, stop! Twisted down into knots, holding on to the length or the locked. Tried sides shaved and high on top, different! “Nappy”, let family tell it, lye, they love it! Fire and metal seals and shine, relax every 2 months. Added pieces to make it pop! Hats scarfs, flowers, sewn in scalp ornaments, poison product sweat, picked at, processed, submit!




Family we have invested most of our time into the dependence on outside sources for beauty and it dictates who we represent at the moment. As a tribe that is looking inward for hidden answers we find ourselves in a world where our salons still represent an adopted concept of beauty and it has hit a synthetic peak! The current idea is to transform your situation into something else or hide it completely and family deserves what is their own. The very idea of coils receive a true reaction from the perception of Love from an individual and demands transparency. This is the reason why the coil has not been developed and modernized for our family and we must do it ourself.




Fear conquers patience for us to get the opportunity to observe the special texture that grows lightweight to the heavens. A texture that protects the core of our existence from the sun, coils that keep air circulating on our scalp, so resilient that it still grows through harmful treatments. Imagine a head of hair that has had NO manipulation.




Imagine a salon where the service menu is totally adapted to the coil and no manipulation.❣️




What can you do with this idea? You can trash all of the products, throwout all the tools developed and empty out the ideas that represent western Black beauty. This opens up the space to create new services, tools and elements made to redesign beauty and bring the coil into the now.




I began my career in the hair industry to solve universal issues with personal hair grooming as well as your experience with hair salons. The first step which is most important to me is getting the information out there to the family than move into developing salons. I need your help to take this project to the next level. My objective is to unite all textures of hair under one roof, modernize coiled hair, further spread awareness/knowledge/techniques. I want to be able to eventually offer classes and spread this technology worldwide so that everyone can have access, break the cycle of hair ignorance on a personal level, and eliminate miscommunication between stylist and client.




Our fund will help me began this journey starting with training fresh professionals the creation and launch of a digital app, website that will allow everyone to understand their tresses and give everyone the same control they have over a new bag or pair of shoes you put on.




This is my livelihood as well as my passion. Im really close to a true solution to our modern hair issues. With your help, this simply has the potential to be the hair revolution for the 21st century that we so badly need.
