Maynor’s wife and their three daughters

Donation protected
This morning I awoke like many with the news of an unthinkable accident and my heart sank for the countless people affected by this tragic accident.

We then got news that our dear friend Bernice Martinez whose family has become an extended family to ours, was one of the affected families it really hit home. Last night her husband Maynor Suazo Sandoval left for work and as it now sounds may never come home. He was one of the 8 construction workers on the bridge early this morning when it collapsed.

My heart breaks for her and their three young daughters who didn’t get to say goodbye and who’s family has tragically been impacted today.

I know the days, weeks and years ahead are going to be hard and hoping we can provide support for them all.

We greatly appreciate any support you are able to provide.

PS — I woke this morning to see my initial goal had already been met. I’ve increased the goal knowing the financial impact they will have and the hopes of minimizing that for them. Thank you for your support xoxo.

PSS — I cannot thank you all for the outpouring of support that have been shown for Bernice and her three young girls. I am happy to share that her brother Samir Martinez Funes has been helping his sister during this trying time and is receiving the funds on her behalf for all of Bernices' financial needs ahead.
