We are the Mayo Family and we are adopting! Kyle and I met in 2008 and we were married in 2012. In the first few years of our marriage we took a short-term mission trip to Myanmar where we worked in orphanages there. God had begun to place adoption on our hearts prior to our trip, but it was there that the seeds began to be planted in both of our hearts to adopt a child into our family one day. We had begun discussing adopting in 2015 and we were surprised in 2016 with the pregnancy of our daughter. We would find out later that our daughter was truly a miracle. Following her birth we walked through 5 years of infertility and lost 4 babies. This journey eventually led us to not being able to have anymore children biologically. It was through those hard years that God began to remind us of the dream he gave us for adoption as a way to grow our family. Our daughter has also joined us in this desire to grow our family as she as ferverently prayed for a brother or sister for 5 years now. We are curently pursuing domestic adoption and are patiently waiting to be matched with the child God has for us.
We have been awareded a matching grant with Lifesong and we would love for you to help us meet this goal so we can be one step closer to bringing baby Mayo home.
