Mayo Ophthalmology medical bills and travel

Hi my name is Anica Marez and I’m fundraising for my uncle Ciro Chairez. As a child he lost his vision in one eye due to an accident. He has had a prosthetic eyeball most of his life causing the functioning eye to compensate. Over the last year, he’s had multiple treatments and procedures to prevent total blindness and it gave him hope thinking he was in the clear. But, over the last couple of months it has worsened, therefore he is having to travel more often to the mayo ophthalmology clinic in Phoenix, AZ. He was a radiation therapist who helped treat many cancer patients across the state of NM. Due to his vision complications, he has had to step away from a job he truly enjoyed and had done most of his life causing financial burdens. If you cover one eye and try to walk around and do things with only one eyeball, you will see how difficult it is but being completely blind is even worse.
