Mayra Nunez Funeral Expenses

As many of you know, my mother Mayra ("Mima") recently and unexpectedly passed away.  My husband, brother, and I are establishing this Go Fund Me account to help support my father Omar with both the expenses for my mother's memorial services and his transition to a life without his spouse of 36 years.  

Omar was recently laid off and at 70 years of age has been unable to find employment in the current market (he is a manufacturing engineer).  The unexpected passing of my mother has left him not only emotionally devastated, but financially struggling to accomodate the high cost of funeral expenses.

All funds raised will initially be applied to my mom's memorial/funeral and the remainder will be gifted to my father to assist with his daily living costs, bills, etc... Since he has no life savings and is unemployed we want to provide him with some financial stability while he navigates through the pain of losing his wife.

We are so thankful for all of your kind words and support over these past few days.  As you can imagine we are still very much in shock and are trying to process everything.  Mima was so full of life and her only wish was for everyone she met to be happy and live life to the fullest.  Thank you for all of the thoughts, prayers, food, messages, and financial support during this heartbreaking time.
