Truck Repairs

Hello, for those of you that don’t know me I’m Tony, the owner and operator of Sunnyside on the Street food truck. I’ve battled demons my entire life and finally found something I love, cooking for others.

In 2020 I attempted suicide, I was in the RF and fiber optics field for 25 years and well respected in our industry even guest speaking to the society of cable and telecommunications engineers. I knew my stuff, but lingering behind me

was always my mental health from years of childhood sexual abuse.

I got help and left corporate America with really no plan, I invested my life’s savings into my business Sunnyside on the Street and was offered to open a commercial kitchen in an amazing brewery, I then began planning, it would

be tight but doable. I invested the business savings back into the business upgrading all the trucks kitchen equipment and rebuilding the front end and, as well as starting the kitchen build. I figured my food truck could financially support my family until the kitchen opened up. Unfortunately today the motor in the food truck blew. I now have no income, a dead food truck, and a half built out kitchen.

the hope is that the money raised here I can order a new motor directly from Chevy and get it installed. I’ve been asked why I don’t buy a crate motor (backordered until august) why don’t we buy a junkyard motor? Many don’t come with warranties and if they do, generally they are only good for 30-90 days so If it fails I should have just lit the roughly $5k on fire.
