Tim's story

Hi, my name is Samantha and I'm fundraising on behalf of my uncle, Tim Hicks, who passed away on November 11, 2023 after a hard fought and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. After being diagnosed, Tim underwent various treatments, many of which involved traveling to and from Mayo Clinic. Throughout this process, his wife, my aunt, Leeann, was by his side.

At this time, we are hoping to raise money to alleviate some of the financial burden his family is facing.

Timothy "Timmy" Gray Hicks (Dec. 14, 1953-Nov. 11, 2023) formally of Mound, MN passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his: devoted wife, Leeann (together for 40 years, married for 33) and loving daughter, Jynnel (Joe) Zaremba, three grandsons, Lucca, Lennon and Lanndre, siblings, Valarie (Gary) Theis, Willa (Lyle) Whipple, David (Kimberly) Hicks, and many other supportive family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Duard and Elaine Hicks, and many spoiled furry companions. Tim, a US Army veteran, was a loving, caring, funny and social man who thrived on spending time with his loved ones - if you understood Tim’s sense of humor, you know he wouldn't befriend a moron. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed going up to Pathfinder Village, fishing with his best buddies and watching football with his nephews (while making sure to have wings or chili on the side). He also appreciated listening to music from the 60’s and 70’s and having a cold Coors Light or his signature Bloody Mary. Retirement found him teaching life lessons to his three grandsons while making lifelong memories along the way. Family invites those who knew and loved Tim to join in celebrating a life well lived on: Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 12-4pm at the Watertown Community Center (309 Lewis Ave S, Watertown, MN 55388).
