Fundraising Trip, The Alaska Range
Donation protected
We are three Colorado Mountain College Alums (Eric Crosby, Michael Elges, and Ryan Edwards) who are participating in a fundraising expedition to the Alaska Range with the Boulder Mountain Institute. We are raising money for Paradox Sports, a Boulder based non-profit that seeks to recognize and foster an individual's potential and strength, defying the assumption that people with a physical disability can't lead a life of excellence. They provide inspiration, opportunities, and specialized adaptive equipment so that anyone is able to be an active participant in human powered sports. Paradox brings people together for events such as the Front Range Adaptive Climbing Club three times per month at different climbing gyms around the Front Range of Colorado. They also run Wilderness, Water, Ice and Rock climbing based programs. In addition, Paradox also runs a veteran's program to help our soldiers returning from service discover new strengths.
We are Traveling to the Alaska Range to raise awareness for Paradox through climbing. We feel that by climbing for Paradox, we can share our passion. We truly believe that climbing can help us discover ourselves on a different level. The challenges that are unique to climbing a mountain on this scale can be viewed as a metaphor for struggles we may face in daily life. Commitment, teamwork and perseverence come together to overcome the physical and emotional stresses we face on our journey.
We are seeking personal donations to help us support and raise awareness for Paradox Sports. These donations will support Paradox Sports and this expedition.
Thank you for your support.
