Help Catherine Beat Cancer
Donation protected

In June 2018, we learned the news that Catherine, mother to Jonathan, Will and Hannah, and wife to Martin, had been diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer.
This has been devastating news for Catherine, her family, friends and those in the local Staffordshire and Derbyshire community which she served with her podiatry practice for 25 years.
For the previous six months she has undergone palliative chemotherapy at the Derby Royal Infirmary and is miraculously keeping the cancer under control. But we know that this will only be for so long.
On 7th January Kate will fly to the United States to undergo a procedure called Irreversible Electroporation (Nano Knife) for pancreatic cancer. However, this pioneering medical technology has shown promising results in promoting the quality and length of life for those suffering with this disease.
Mum is devoted to her family, friends and community. In return, we as her family, are determined to do all that we can to help her through this terrible disease.
We are launching this crowd funding campaign in an attempt to cover the initial £40k treatment costs of the Nano Knife surgery and to fund any future treatment options that may become available.
Any residual funds not used for treatment will be donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK in an effort to fund research for this dreadful illness. There has been no significant breakthrough’s in pancreatic cancer treatment in 40 years and we are determined to see this change.
Please, if you know Kate, we ask that you share our campaign. With your support, we know we can provide her with very the best chance in this dreadful situation.

All of our thanks,
Jonathan, Will, Hannah and Martin
