Funding for Ruth

Donation protected
To know Ruth Steinmiller Ault is to know a person who brings never-ending sunlight into your life.  If you are lucky enough to call her Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt Ruthie, Cousin, or Friend, you are a beneficiary to all of the love and kindness she brings into the world.  The saying that someone is so caring they would give you the shirt off their back describes Ruth, but it ultimately doesn’t do her justice.  No one approaches life and people with her equal amount of patience, humor, and love.  Ruth spends her time in her native Pittsburgh organizing reunions and events for her large extended family, expressing how proud she is of her daughters Sarah and Gretchen (who share Ruth’s lovely red hair), taking her grandson Jordan to baseball games, and enjoying pajama parties or spa days with a group of women known by a select few as the A.K.A.-R.E.D.S. or Red Hat Ladies club.  Ruth has been accused by some as being too nice and if she isn’t careful someone might take advantage of her kindness.  Her response to such lobbying is that it’s not that she is too nice, but that some people are just too mean.

In November 2013, Ruth was diagnosed with gallbladder cancer.  She began treatment soon after but later the cancer spread to her liver.  Recently she has taken a turn for the worse and her doctor’s are afraid there is not much more they can do to combat her illness.  She currently is in the care of the supportive staff at Manor Care in Pittsburgh.  Through it all Ruth has fought cancer bravely but also with the same positivity and optimism that is true to her beautiful personality.  She has placed her trust in God and her church during whatever time she has left on this earth.  But just when she needs medical care the most, her bills continue to pile up.  Please donate whatever you can to lessen Ruth’s burden at this time. All donations will go to Ruth’s medical bills, her continued care, and to ensuring all of Ruth’s wishes are carried out as she moves forward on her journey. God bless you and thank you.
