As many of you may know, John McAllen recently experienced a severe spinal trauma following a bicycling accident. As a result, John's C3-C6 vertebrae have been fused and presently he has very limited movement of his arms and no leg movement. Following his surgery and a week in the Adult ICU at Holy Spirit Hospital, John was tranferred to the Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Hospital to begin his daily therapy regimen. John is the very definition of determination. Each day, he completes PT, OT, Speech, and Recreational therapies. Meanwhile, Traci, John's wife, and Sophia and Addison, John's daughters, have all been his steadfast, constant supporters. Traci has stayed by John's side, morning, noon, and night, since his accident on 6/29. John's family and many friends have also been assisting the McAllen's with visits, meals, lawn maintenance, washing, grocery shopping, etc. John and his family are beyond humbled by this outpouring of love, prayers, and kindness.
So, now to the reason for being on Go Fund Me...the McAllen's face many upcoming expenses. These expenses include an adaptive vehicle and future assistive devices. We're respectfully asking that you consider contributing to the McAllen Family Fund. The McAllen's would be appreciative of any monetary help you may be able to offer. Even $10 will make a difference. They are humbled by your generosity and want you to know that they're always there to help you and your family if you're also in a time of need.
Please share this with everyone you believe would like to help the McAllen's. Our most sincere thanks to you for your kindness.
