Northern dental emergency

Update:
Phone call today didn't really go anywhere useful with the Minister.
But I am so thankful for the generosity shown so far from our community and family.
Flights are officially booked, thanks to an amazing couple.
Hotel is being kindly paid for, and people have gifted support in many different ways, including child care, prayers, and more.
Dogs got their shots updated and we were able to book a spot at the kennel.
We do have an appointment at the bank next week to request a loan.
That's where we're at with getting this emergency surgery done.
Thank you to those who have supported us so far. ❤️

Update:
Had a phone meeting with Kate White. She is working hard with me to try and get this surgery and dentures covered under medical, but she's not sure it'll work. She is pretty sure flights, hotel and other accommodations definitely won't be covered even if it is medical, however. She is fighting for just the surgery AND dentures. We should know by tomorrow.
I received an update on the oral surgery cost since more is now being done. 11 teeth are being removed for a complete upper denture and the total for just the oral work is now $8791. We had to pay the denturist yesterday. And will have to pay the oral surgeon the day of surgery (Feb 7).
Prayers for the minister to deem this as medically necessary would be very helpful.

Update:
Saw the denturist today and got my impressions done. The four back teeth are coming out as well now, so that there is way more comfort and less problems to occur.
With getting full uppers instead of partials, it is a couple hundred dollars less... however the cost with the oral surgeon goes up quite a bit.
Oral surgery is booked in Vancouver for Feb 7th in the early morning.
We have had an amazing offer from a couple to pay our flights, I am still working hard to fight for this all to be covered... but it doesn't look good still. What's tough is EVERYTHING has to paid upfront and day of. Hoping my community can help us out as this is a medical necessity but isn't covered.
Thank you.

original: Hello, I am looking for help for my youngest sister, Shalom Dawson!
She was just told she is in need of immediate oral surgery.
She started having pain in her mouth and went to an emergency dentist over the Christmas holiday, and has a rare anomaly of a tooth within a tooth that has inpacted other teeth. It is causing a lot of physical pain.

She is now needing an oral surgeon for removal of teeth and partial bone in order to remove the abscess. This surgery will mean 7 teeth being removed and partial dentures.

Based on where she lives (Whitehorse), she will have to fly to Vancouver for the oral surgeon, as specialists only arrive every few months. Due to the severity of the infection, it needs to be removed immediately.

Her oral bill has been estimated at $7039, plus flights, accommodations, and time off work.
This procedure is not fully covered by benefits and will have to be paid up front.

Shalom is trying to connect with the government and ask for a grant but has been told that it will likely not happen.

I am hoping you can help out my sisters family, helping this mama with her needs so she can continue back to living without pain and being able to move forward!
If you are uncomfortable with this form of donation, please contact me and I’ll give an email for direct transfer!

Any dollar helps! Thank you!!!!!!!
