McGirr Family Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
Unfortunately, Canada Day was not a day of celebration for our family. On July 1st at approximately 4:00pm, my mother’s house caught fire. Within minutes, the house was engulfed in flames. Luckily, all 5 people living in the house made it out safely and only suffered from 2nd degree burns and smoke inhalation. Unfortunately, one of their dogs did not make it out. First responders consider the fire to be accidental and are currently investigating the cause.
They were left with nothing from this, so they’ll be starting from square one to get everything back together. Unfortunately, they did not have renter’s insurance, so we are reaching out to the public to see if you can help. Any amount will help as they try to return their lives to normal. All funds raised will go towards finding them a new home to rent as well as necessities such as clothing and food. If you are able to donate any extra household items, we’ll also be helping them furnish their new home. Please message Wendy McGirr via Facebook Messenger and we can arrange pick-up/drop-off.
