McGovern Family Fire Fund

On Sunday,  November 13, 2016 my brother Kevin and his family were just about to sit down to a turkey dinner before they all went their different ways.   If you know this family that is surprising enough that they all were in one place for any length of time.  Grace starting smelling smoke and they checked the stove but nothing was coming from there.  They looked out into the dining room and saw smoke billowing into the room.  As they ran up the stairs Kate could see heavy black smoke coming from Rosies bedroom and a wall of fire in front of her.  She yelled for everyone to get out and call 911.  Rosie who was out on a driving lesson returned home to find her street blocked off and fire trucks surrounding her home.  They watched in horror as windows blew out from the fire that was ultimately put down by the tremendous work of such dedicated and caring firefighters.  When it was over the second floor was completely destroyed and there was intense fire, smoke and water damage to the rest of the house.
But the most important thing was that they had each other, safe and sound, as well as their beloved dog Buddy.  Nothing is or will be more important than the love a family has for each other and to think how close they came really puts life in perspective.  Thank you God for looking out for my family.
But it wasn't long till they realized that just about everything in their bedrooms was gone or destroyed to a point that it was useless.  They were able to salvage a few things but the  process of cleaning them really hasn't worked out.
The next day was spent buying up personal items and only those necessities to get them through the week till they could wrap their heads around what just happened.
The girls have lost everything as pretty much has Kate and Kevin but they only care that they get the girls back to a good place and provide for them.  That is why I am staring this Go Fund Me page.  My nieces walked out with literally the clothes on their back.  I have received so many calls from people asking how they can help and they suggested this.  If you would like to contribute you can do so here or send any gift cards to my home addess of 25 Ashton Lane, Millbury 01527.
I thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart.  When all is said and done, we have so much, we have each other...and nothing is better than that.
