Hi, our community is trying to protect itself from a 500,000 sq ft logistics distribution center (LDC) - warehouses with a trucking distribution function servicing tenants such as on-line retailers or package delivery companies - that is being proposed for this beautiful spot in the middle of our communities. We all live on a lake or near the mountains at 60th and McIntyre in unincorporated Jefferson County, near Arvada, Colorado. The rest of the world is recognizing living next to industrial warehouses increases risks of cancer and cardiac arrests due to the constant noise and pollution. But our county is allowing a new one to be built. This trucking center will be just feet away from homes and bring pollution and heavy trucks to our small community tainting the air we breathe and congesting the roadways. No public hearings or community outreach are required regarding this project.
Funds are needed to obtain advice from legal, environmental, and transportation experts. We also need funds to help get the word out about the dangers this project poses to people's health and our quality of life.
Pictured above is the proposed development site on the edge of Hyatt Lake and residences bordering the building site. Please help us preserve our way of life and the natural beauty of this lovely place we call home.
Thank you for donating.
