McKaen Meadows Shaw Memorial Fund

The Holzer family has started this GoFundMe as an avenue for the community of our precious McKaen Meadows Shaw to give their support and condolences to his beloved family members who survive him.

Anyone who knew McKaen understands how rare his existence was. His uncanny ability to make magic out of the mundane, his ability to curate community of people from all different backgrounds, his contagious hunger for adventure, his treasured knowledge of rockhounding, the immediate safety and comfort we felt in his presence, his eagerness to demonstrate his gymnast skills, his incomparable skill of baking bread, designing the most tasty yet artistic charcuterie boards and making the most delicious meals over a fire are some of the many reasons his community loved him so deeply and will grieve his absence.

As radiant of a being McKaen was, his life was not always as easy as he made it seem. His resiliency in hard times is a testament to his strength and courage. A courage his community will deeply grieve.
