McKenna (Stanton) Peck and Family
Donation protected
Hello, world- what a terrible thing to have to write.
My little sister's twenty eight year old husband, Zackrey John Peck, passed away in a tragic car accident on Friday, leaving behind his wife, McKenna Stanton Peck, and his three incredible children, sons Nash (8) and Lucas (5), and his daughter Maeve (1.5).
Zack was a family man, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; he was always quick to lend a hand to any of his brothers or in-laws. He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, archery, dirt biking, fishing and spending time in the woods with his children and his dad.
There just aren’t adequate words to describe the air and the energy around the house where we are gathering and going to and fro from, and attempting to process at, and plan, and grieve, and cope, and explain, etc. etc.
Incredible appreciation for those who have expressed their love and their sympathies; incredible appreciation for those who have stopped by, and incredible appreciation for those who have stayed away. You are all loved, and it’s been a lot of you reaching out to McKenna that has really been helping her the most, so thank you to everyone for doing what you can to show our family and McKenna that she is loved and not alone.
McKenna has been an absolutely amazing stay-at-home mom for the last eight years, along the way becoming one of the strongest, bravest, most courageous women I know. I admire and respect her as a person and look up to her as a parent, and just love her kids so damn much this is so brutal, and they need help, hence why you’re reading this.
Zackrey died without having any life insurance, and McKenna now has just an absolutely stacked plate, and I’d love to have community really lighten that for her via any donations you can make in these difficult times.
I immediately thought of GoFundMe, as I ran a successful one for Vicks's knee surgery some time ago, and personally donate all the time, just a couple bucks here and there, to random ass ones that touch my heart, so here’s hoping this one can have the same effect. I’ve always been astounded by community coming together for those in need via platforms like this, so here’s hoping. I implore you, donate what you can. My sister, my nephews, and my niece deserve it. And would probably never ask for it on her own.
To those who know their family, who have had the pleasure of meeting any of the children, you know how sweet and awesome they are. And how badass McKenna is. And they just lost their dad. And their husband. Our fam. It’s tough out here. Damn. Run to the rescue with love, and peace will follow. Here’s hoping.
Zack, Rest In Peace, brother. Those in the Lake Placid area, there will be a memorial of life for Zackrey held at the Clark Funeral Home from 3-5, with a reception to follow at the High Peaks Resort this Friday, July 29th.
We ask that you continue to respect my sister and our immediate family's privacy as she continues to navigate these terrible times. Any donation inquiries, please feel free to message me directly.
Thank you all again for your love; it truly helps.
Check on your friends. Hug your loved ones - tell people you love them- this stuffs too much.
