McKenna's Cancer Battle

When my husband and I started this fund for the benefit of the Kranek Family, McKenna had just been diagnosed with Pleuropulmonary Blastoma. We knew the fight would be tough, but initially did not grasp the extent this would impact the family. The impact became clearer as more testing was completed and as the treatment plan was developed.

Now that we know McKenna s in for a 36-week Chemo battle, with possible additional surgeries and radiation treatments also needed, the goal has been modified. Momma Meggi will need to take unpaid leave for the rest of 2024 to care for and take McKenna to her scheduled - and unplanned - treatments. This leave will put the cost of healthcare squarely on their shoulders. Additionally, they will also be hiring a nanny to assist with her care and give Meggi some much needed help and relief.

The bills and toll on the Kranek family will continue to grow, but with the help of a village they will get through these tough times. We know they are grateful for each and every donation, big and small. Accordingly, we have raised the goal to $115,00.
