McKinney Community Christmas Tree
Tax deductible
McKinney Main Street has announced its second annual fundraising campaign called a McKinney Christmas Tree – A Gift to the Community, which will raise funds to cover the cost of importing the tree from Michigan and for decorations. Donations of all sizes are accepted to help bring this tree to McKinney. For a tax deductible donation of $50 to the campaign, families and organizations will receive recognition at the Christmas tree display throughout the holidays. The first 100 donors who contribute a minimum of $50 will receive a commemorative keepsake ornament.
“We are so excited to have the Christmas tree in downtown’s square this year,” said Amy Rosenthal, Director of the McKinney Performing Arts Center and Main Street. “We want the community to think of this tree as a gift for the entire community. It will serve as a beautiful backdrop for holiday photos and be a sight for the entire family to enjoy.”
The campaign is supported by corporate sponsor First United Bank, who generously donated to the McKinney Christmas Tree – A Gift to the Community campaign. "First United Bank is excited to partner with McKinney Main Street on sponsoring the first live Christmas tree in downtown McKinney. We are blessed to have the opportunity to ignite the spirit of Christmas in the hearts of our community. We hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy it and has a very Merry Christmas.”
