Lost my son 2 months back, please Save my Husband

Mission save my spouse- Mr. Chandra Bahadur Khatri (Rajan K.C) Baglung Nagarpalika -13, Payunpata Nepal currently residing in Darwin, Australia was admitted to the Royal Darwin Hospital due to a medical emergency. After extensive tests, we received the heartbreaking news that he has Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of stomach cancer – Stage III.

This news hit us hard, especially after the recent loss of our beloved son Kirtan Shree K.C. After 5 years of the battle of life and death with 2 major brain surgery (Hemispherectomy) who was only 7 years old, on December 31st, 2023, to a rare a disease called Rasmussen Encephalitis (Neurology Disease).

My name is Parishma Jangam, and I am a student at Charles Darwin University. I'm reaching out to you in a time of desperate need and confronting yet another devastating blow to my family's health. Being an independent woman, asking for help has never been so easy, but now, this is my ultimate option to save my beloved spouse.

We devoted every resource we had to our son's treatment and palliative care over the past five years, leaving us financially strained. Additionally, my Bupa student insurance doesn't cover all the expenses required for my husband's treatment; there will be thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket bills. The treatment plan will consist of 4 cycles of 2 weekly Neoadjuvant FLOT Chemotherapy (Pre-Surgery) followed by Radical Gastrectomy (Surgery) followed by 4 cycles of 2 weekly Adjuvant FLOT Chemotherapy (Post-Surgery)

Both my husband and I were working in aged care community service, but the trauma of losing our son and my husband's cancer diagnosis has left us unable to continue our work. I am the only carer of my husband, and my needs at home and in the hospital are 24/7.

मेरो श्रीमान चन्द्र बहादुर खत्री, बाग्लुंग नगरपालिका – १३, बलेवा पैयुँपाटा, नेपाल, हाल डार्विन, अस्ट्रेलिया को रोयल डार्विन हस्पिटलमा आकस्मिक रुपमा भर्ना हुनुहुन्छ । धेरै किसिमका परिक्षण गरीए पश्चात उहाँलाई तेस्रो चरणको सिग्नेट रिङ्ग सेल कर्सिनोमा (अति छिटो फैलिने किसिमको पेटको क्यान्सर) भएको पुष्टी भए पश्चात मेरो जीवनमा दुखको अर्को बज्रपात भएको छ।

हालसालै ३१ डिसेम्बर २०२३ मा हाम्रो प्यारो छोरा स्व किर्तन श्री के सी को कान्ति बाल अस्पतालमा लामो समयको मृत्युसंगको संघर्ष पश्चात् ७ बर्षको कलिलो उमेरमा निधन भएको दुखद घटना पछि हाम्रो परिवारमा आएको अर्को संकटले हामीलाई स्तब्ध बनाएको छ। हाम्रो प्यारो छोरा स्व किर्तन श्री के सी विगत ५ बर्षसम्म २ पटक मष्तिष्कको शल्यक्रिया (हेमीस्फेरेक्टोमि) गर्दा पनि रेस्मुस्सेन् इन्सेफेलाइटिस (स्नायु केन्द्रित रोग) को कारण ३१ डिसेम्बर २०२३ मा ७ वर्षको कलिलो उमेरमा नै मृत्यु भयो।

मेरो नाम परिश्मा जंगम, म चार्ल्स डार्विन विश्वविद्यालय को विद्यार्थी तपाई समक्ष हाम्रो परिवारमा परेको चरम बज्रपातको संकटको घडीमा सहयोगको लागि याचना गर्न बाध्य भएको छु। एक स्वबिलाम्बी महिलालाई यसरी हात फैलाएर सहयोगको लागि याचना गर्न निकै कठिन हुँदो रहेछ तर म संग मेरो श्रीमानलाई बचाउने अरु माध्यम छैन। हामीले हामीसंग भएको लगभग सम्पूर्ण सम्पति पछिल्लो पाँच वर्षमा छोराको उपचारको क्रममा नेपाल र पटक पटक भारतका महंगा अस्पतालहरुमा सकिसकेको हुँदा हाम्रो आर्थिक अवस्थाले मेरो श्रीमानको थप उपचार खर्च जोहो गर्न असम्भव छ ।

मेरो विद्यार्थी स्वास्थ्य बिमा (बुपा इन्सुरेन्स) ले मेरो श्रीमानको सम्पूर्ण उपचार खर्च नव्यहोर्ने भएको हुँदा उहाँको उपचारमा व्यक्तिगत हजारौ डलर खर्च लाग्छ। उपचारको क्रममा ४ साइकल केमोथेरापी गरि शल्यक्रिया गरी पुन ४ साइकल केमोथेरापी गर्नुपर्ने योजना मलाई चिकित्सकहरुले जानकारी गराउनु भएको छ ।

हामी श्रीमान श्रीमती दुवैजना अस्ट्रेलियाको ओल्ड एज केर होममा कार्यरत थियौ तर छोराको मृत्यु पश्चात श्रीमानको बिचल्ली अवस्थाको कारण यस बिपतमा काम गर्न सक्ने अवस्था रहेको छैन किनभने अस्पताल तथा घरमा २४ घण्टा ७ दिननै व्यस्त रहनुपर्ने बाध्यता रहेको छ । हाम्रो हासीखुशी जीवनमा परेको बज्रपातको कारण म निकै स्तव्ध र मानसिक तनावमा रहेको छु, तसर्थ म यहाँहरु समक्ष मेरो श्रीमानको जीवनको याचना गर्दछु ।

यहाँहरुको जस्तोसुकै सहयोगले पनि मेरो श्रीमानको उपचारमा सहयोग पुग्ने र क्यान्सर संगको उहाँको लडाईमा साथ दिने भएकोले सहयोगको लागि मनैदेखि गुहार माग्दछु साथै यहाँहरुले आफ्नो सामाजिक संजालहरुमा मेरो याचना र गुहार सक्दो फैलाईदिनुहुन निवेदन गर्दछु । हाम्रो परिवारमा परेको दुखद समयमा यहाँहरुको सहृदयी सहयोग र साथको मेरो र मेरो परिवारको जीवनमा महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रहेको हुँदा यहाँहरुको सहयोगको अपेक्षासहित मनैदेखि कृतज्ञता व्यक्त गर्दछु । धन्यवाद।
