McMillan Academic Pentathlon Nationals Trip

McMillan's Academic Pentathlon team has once again qualified for the National Academic Pentathlon Competition in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a huge honor and opportunity for our students. They have worked extremely hard all year to win the Nebraska State Competition in order to qualify. Our team is now looking to compete at the highest academic level against teams from all around the country and teams from China. The competition is taking place on May 16-18, 2019.

Academic Pentathlon  is an international academic competition that focuses on one topic, organized into five subjects; Literature, Fine Arts, Science, Math, and Social Science. This year we have been studying the topic of The 1960s: A Transformational Decade.

McMillan Magnet Center is a Title I school from a low socio-economic area of Omaha, NE. We have a very diverse population of students at our school and on our team. This is an incredible opportunity for them and a once in a lifetime experience for many members of the team. Please help our students reach their goal of placing in the top two at the national level.

All money donated here will go toward travel costs to get our teams to Nashville, food, and the opportunity to experience some of the unique sights and attractions that Nashville has to offer.
