McMinn Family Marshall Fire Recovery

On December 30th, my mother lost our family home when the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history occurred.
She was in the middle of working from home when she realized the internet was off. She went downstairs to check on things; as she opened the front door, a huge burst of ash and sparks entered our home. Wind gusts of over 100 mph stimulated the fire and destroyed our entire neighborhood. She had only enough time to grab her purse, laptop and keys and was fortunate to escape to her car. The smoke was so dense that an emergency vehicle had to escort her out.

My mother Mary is the sweetest woman ever, and throughout my entire life she has worked extremely hard for our family. She has always been the most generous and giving person. Even in this horrible time, she remains optimistic and gracious; I am truly inspired by her view on everything.
We are just one family affected by this disaster, and our hearts are with everyone that was directly or indirectly impacted. It breaks my heart thinking of what this community is going through, but the strong togetherness that we have makes all of the pain manageable.
Thank you so much for your time, love, and generosity.
