Support Elizabeth, Mike, and Lucas After Fire

Dear Friends of Elizabeth Barrutia and Mike McNellis,

My name is Gilli Aliotti and I am a relative of Elizabeth Barrutia.

With permission from the McNellis Barrutia Family, I have set up a fundraiser to help Elizabeth, Mike and Lucas for their immediate needs and recent devastating loss: This past week, they lost their home and everything in it, to the Palisades Fire in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. Their home is gone.

They are currently staying with a friend and have the bare minimum with them, that they were able to escape with during evacuation. Lucas' school was almost burned, everything he has, except his iPad, is destroyed. All of Mike and Elizabeth's personal belongings, clothes, household items, furniture, some antiques, art, beloved items, all gone in the fire.

They will re-build their lives over time, but right now they have immediate needs to get them back on their feet, that help with real, day-to-day survival. They have received many notes of "how can we help" and this seems to be the best way to help them so they can get back on their feet in the immediate short term, and get a temporary roof over their heads.

This fundraiser is to assist in that effort, and hopes to cover

1. food, clothing, shoes, toiletries, basics, school items, etc while they are living in a transient situation.

2. rent for a short term furnished space in Los Angeles for 4-6months.

3. anything else that can help alleviate their immediate needs.
