Keith’s Cancer Fight

 Stage 4 cancer of the appendix, that is what this awesome husband, father, and grandpa/papa is fighting. December 30,2019 was the day we thought was just going to be the removal of a stage 1 colon cancer mass. Unfortunately this was not the case and it was found the cancer had started in the appendix, spread to the lymph nodes and the peritoneum (lining of the abdominal cavity).

What we are facing now is some hard core chemo treatment. 1 treatment every 2 weeks. After 3 treatments another set of scans will be done by providers at Froedert in Milwaukee who specialize in this type of cancer. The hope is that they will see the tumors responding to the chemo and shrinking, which will then possibly qualify Keith for something called HIPEC.

HIPEC 

This is going to be financially taxing on Keith and Diane. It will require lost hours from work, many trips to Milwaukee, and more stays in the hospital. Please consider donating to help ease some of this stress so Keith can focus on staying healthy and beating this cancer, and so Diane can fully focus on being with him every step of the way.
