Study Abroad

Hello, my name is Jalen Brown and I am a senior at Franklin College. Each year Franklin offers opportunities for students to study abroad and immerse themselves in different countries across the world. This year I signed up for their study abroad trip to France. This trip will allow me to expand my French language skills, envelop myself within their culture, and learn about French history.

Growing up I had to take on some responsibilities around the house. I had to pay my bills while also helping pay for household bills to support my family. Therefore, this limited the opportunity for me to travel around the world. I’ve always wanted to experience what it is like to study abroad, to be fully immersed in a new culture, and learn from their perspective. I’ve heard many amazing stories from other classmates about how studying abroad has positively shifted their outlook on life. That is something I want to experience firsthand. I want to continue to expand my mind and learn as much as I can in this lifetime.

So, therefore, I am reaching out to everyone that I know for help. The trips cost $4000 which would cover flight, hotel, and class fees.
