the Hollywood fire that destroyed everything

Donation protected
hi friends,

Nikki here, on July 12, I faced one of the most devastating experiences of my life. At around 5:30 pm, I heard unusual crackling sounds outside my home and noticed people gathering around outside, recording my building. I was unaware of the severity of the situation when I decided to investigate. In a rush, I took my dog Elvira, without her leash, and my purse, hoping to figure out what was happening.

As I entered the hallway, I was met with a shocking sight - smoke and orange flames were rapidly engulfing the back entrance of the building. There were no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide alarms that had alerted us, adding to the surprise and fear of the situation. Concerned about my neighbors, I started yelling and banging on doors. Fortunately, a fellow neighbor heard my calls and came out from the building with his dog just in time. Me and my neighbors watched in horror for hours as the fire relentlessly spread to my building and the adjacent one.

For over three agonizing hours, we witnessed the thick, black smoke and uncontrollable flames, while approximately 30 fire trucks blocked off Hollywood Blvd in an effort to contain the blaze. Tragically, some people returned from work to find their lives shattered in just a few hours. We all lost everything so quickly. Despite the chaos, a group of us bravely searched for missing pets, ensuring their safety. I'm relieved to say that we managed to rescue a few cats, even though I got scratched a few times in the process. These pets were returned to their owners, my neighbors, who I care deeply about. Fortunately, no pets died.

To make matters worse, looters have been breaking into our destroyed homes & stole all of our valuable possessions.

This devastating fire has left me with nothing. Everything I cherished - my DJ equipment, my beloved Macbook from college, my studio equipment for auditions and acting, my camera, tripod, lighting - all of it was lost. Alongside that, I said goodbye to my cherished art, photos, autographed books, and memorabilia from my favorite artists, as well as the accessories and clothes that held sentimental value. Elvira's toys and supplies, including her strawberry dog house, were also taken by the flames.

I am in dire need of assistance to get back on my feet. Additionally, if you're interested, I have a small business where I design clothes and accessories. Supporting my business would be another meaningful way to assist me. Furthermore, I offer consulting services to artists, helping them with social media management, branding, and generating innovative ideas. You can explore all my offerings on my website coolchxck.com. Any support, be it for my personal needs or my business, would be tremendously valuable.

I am overwhelmed by the kind words, support, and positivity I've received from my neighbors and the generous individuals who have offered me shelter, clothing, and comfort during this trying time. Your assistance means the world to me, and I'm incredibly grateful for your consideration and compassion.

Thank you once again for standing by me through this challenging period.
