Hi, if you're seeing this you probably already know me. If you don't, I live in Sweden, and I'm in my late 20s. My name's Red! Hi! Hello!

I've been trans for... a long time, now, and I've grown tired of waiting in the endless queues and waitlines of the only system I'm offered.

As far as I've been told, the current wait time for getting gender-confirming treatment in Sweden is about three years - before the therapy, and the real-life experience. And don't forget, you'd go to the back of the queue if you end up moving. I've been moving a lot.

I've tried, I've really tried, but I really can't let this miserable system grind me down. So, here I am, poor and trying to reach for happiness.

For a long time I have been too proud to ask for any help. "Only when you've got no other choice", I've told myself. "Only when it's the last possible option". Eventually, though, you have to realise that you're not a burden to your friends. They don't want you to starve yourself in order to save money on groceries, hahaha.

"Can you eat honor?", is a dumb line from Disco Elysium that I keep thinking about. I don't have much more to say, but I really can't eat my own honor any longer.

When I told people that I was planning to go on HRT, the most common reply I got was "I thought you were already?", which does sting a little bit. Don't worry if you told me that, I wasn't hurt, it was more just... It's something I've always wished to do.

Currently, I set the goal at 4000 SEK - Swedish Crowns. This equates to a bit less than $400, and should set me clear for like... more than a year of treatment, including blood tests and everything, to stay as safe as possible. Anything above that would probably go to... I dunno, emergency things? In case I calculated the cost of needles or pills wrong? Best case, it would be something I could save for a rainy day.

The breakdown is something like...

500kr for E, 500kr for the anti androgens, 500kr for prog, 200kr for needles, 169+139+195kr for the tests - and this is all for the "start" haha. Some things last longer than others, so 500kr worth of E lasts for like a year, and the rest varies.
