Help Georgia take part in national karting comps

As a relatively newbie to karting and only taking part with friends and family in indoor and outdoor tracks across the South or on holidays.
When arriving at University in Manchester, Georgia started taking karting more seriously and decided to take part in the BUKC but unfortunately an administrative error stopped the team from taking part. As a result Georgia decided to focus her efforts on the indoor tracks and in particularly the BIKC.
Whilst racing in competitive events she found that she was often the only female on track. After seeing TeamSport offering female only events, she decided to make the long trip to Nottingham, she thoroughly enjoyed the event and returned to the next girls only event in Leicester. Georgia managed to claim the win against a very talented group. Whilst at the event Georgia was spotted by Amanda Tricker of TRX Motorsport Team, she has since represented them at championships races throughout the Uk. In her first event Georgia won the novice event before being promoted to the pro class.
Although Georgia is from South Wales, she decided to try and compete for the BIKC at Manchester Trafford.
To quialfy for the local finals you need to set three lap times on three separate visits. As these needed to be completed whilst home from University she travelled back to Manchester on three separate occasions to set her times which ultimately positioned her in 1st place.
In a tricky local final Georgia managed to finish 4th and qualify for the regional finals in Stockton.
Having never raced at this track before her dedication and determination led her to visit Stockton for a practice session a few weeks earlier. This was an incredible journey for her to undertake alone. It involved walking, bus, tram, train and an Uber. Although she found the track difficult, the practive session was useful and gave her an understanding of the layout. All before the reverse journey began straight after the race.
So for the regional finals in Stockton you had the top six racers from Manchester Trafford, Liverpool and Preston. The competitors were split into two groups and each group had one Qualifying session to determine their grid position for the two heats. Georgia finished in 3rd and therefore started both heats in that position. She managed to finish in 3rd in the first heat but came 4th in the second heat. Thankfully she had completed the fastest lap between 3rd and 4th in both races. This meant she started 3rd in the semifinal. The top 6 from each semifinal made it through to the final and with Georgia starting third the plan was to move up at least one position. The track was very tight and overtaking was very limited but after a great move on P2, Georgia moved upto second place and stayed there until the finish.
On to the grand final and Georgia was starting in 3rd place and with only the top three going through the pressure was on. Georgia spent the first part of the race defending like her life depended on it, this left quite a gap to first and second place. Georgia then picked up the pace, left 4th place behind before catching 2nd whilst doing the fastest lap of the race. The relief was visible as the top there crossed the line as the chequered flag was waved. It was amazing to see all the females supporting Georgia and she hopes it inspires other woman to take part in motorsport.
Georgia now moves on to the BIKC National Finals in Warrington. This is a well organised event, which is streamed live on YouTube. She also has the BUKC and races for TRX coming up in the next month.
Georgia would like to thank her sponsors for supporting her throughout and without them this wouldn’t be possible. There is a go fund me page set up to help Georgia compete in her events this coming season.
