Molly’s Story

Molly is a 6 ½ month old Bernese Mountain Pup

We are asking if you would be willing to help in funding Molly’s urgently needed eye surgeries.

Molly was re homed to us 2 months ago from Edinburgh, when I went to see her I could tell that she had sore eyes, but my heart couldn’t leave her where she was, so she came to live with me in Lossiemouth (The Jewel of Moray) in Scotland and has joined our other 2 poochies at our house.

I took Molly to the vet when we got home, where they found Molly to have a severe and chronic infection in both her eyes that was sadly left untreated by her previous owners.

Molly also has a condition affecting her eyes called Entropion, which unfortunately has been made so so much worse by not having veterinary treatment for her eye infections.

Since coming to live with me, Molly has been attending the vet every week and is on pain relief meds and also antibiotic eye creams to manage and treat her poorly eyes.

Molly however now needs to have urgent corrective eye surgeries to both her eyes otherwise it will cause damage to her Corneas and while we have been paying the weekly vet costs till now, the cost of the eye surgeries is much more than I can manage by myself and as her pet insurance will not cover the eye surgeries I am reaching out to others.

Molly is just the most beautiful, gentlest soul you will ever meet. She so deserves to live her best life after a rough start in life.

I will keep everyone updated on Molly’s progress as her operation is now booked for a couple of weeks’ time as it is now required as a matter of urgency to stop further damage to her eyes.

I hope when Molly is a big girl that she will be able to be a therapy pet as she has so much potential and a lot of love to give.
