Help me support my student's family combat cancer

Hi everyone, my name is Laurie Gilstrap. I am a third-grade teacher in Northern Virginia and I need your help. One of my students and her family are going through your worst nightmare. Her mother is currently in the hospital with terminal Stage 4 brain cancer. Her father is working tirelessly to try to make ends meet while also caring for his wife and three children (ages 9, 8, and 5). The hospital informed the husband that it is time for his wife to be sent home on hospice care, but he does not want to bring her home and let their children watch her slowly deteriorate. The 9-year-old is helping her siblings get dressed in the mornings and get on the school bus. She is also making their lunches for them.

I am asking for help in any capacity, whether it is money for clothes, food, home bills, medical bills, and the inevitable funeral services. Please help me lift this family up in our prayers.
