Meadow’s fight against b-cell leukemia (B-ALL)

Donation protected
Hi, we are Caitlin and Brandon Ching and we are the parents of Meadow. Meadow is a kind, thoughtful, creative, sassy, smart and extremely special little 4 year old girl. She would best be described as one-of-a-kind. Our family also consists of a baby boy born in April 2023 and a 15 year old daughter. On June 1, 2023, Meadow was diagnosed with acute b-cell lymphoblastic leukemia turning our world upside down. Within 24 hours of her diagnosis, she underwent a surgery to have a port placed, spinal tap, spinal chemo, IV chemo and bone marrow aspiration. She was initially hospitalized for 9 days. The first few days were difficult for her due to her physical pain from all the pokes and prods, but Meadow was soon acting like her normal happy self. She is mature beyond her years and has been cooperating with her medications and procedures. She is such a brave and resilient little girl. Some of Meadow’s favorite things to do are swimming, gym dance, going to school and playing with her friends, arts & crafts, playing with our yorkie Axl, watching movies, reading, playing with her toys and using her imagination. Her favorite colors are purple, “golden” and now rainbow tie-dye. She likes Rapunzel, Bluey, My Little Pony, unicorns, narwhals, koalas, ,and Muppet Babies. She adores being a big sister to her brother Memphis. Meadow is our world. She has this amazing ability to touch the hearts of everyone she meets and makes friends so easily. We will do anything to help her beat cancer and live life as normally as possible. She is our best friend. Doctors say treatment may last 2.5 years but as with any medical condition and treatment, only time will tell. Each time she receives chemo and takes her multitude of medications, there are risks and benefits. Meadow won’t be able to attend school next year due to being extremely immunocompromised. Anytime she gets a fever (and possibly when she has a cold), she will need to be hospitalized. At this time, both of us work from home but Caitlin will need to go back to the office on a hybrid schedule in a few months. There is no way to know how much medical treatment and medications will cost, or if we will suffer any loss of income over the next few years. All we know is that we will be spending a lot of time at her oncologists office and in the hospital going forward. The fundraising proceeds will be used for Meadow’s medical treatment, necessities to care for her while in treatment and to help us in the event of income loss during this difficult time. Thank you to everyone who has already donated to us and thank you to those who contribute to our GoFundMe. We appreciate all the love and support from friends, family and the community. Please pray for our family, especially for complete healing for Meadow.
