Meadow's Surgery & Living Fund

Hello there everyone! I'm Meadow, a 26 year old trans woman currently living in the UK.

I've been transitioning since July 2020 and for a while, I've been on the fence about whether to go ahead with bottom surgery, but now I've reached a point where I desperately need to have this done.

I'm currently getting my hormones through a private HRT provider and I currently am on a waiting list for my local GIC, but however, this can take up to 5 years at least to just have an initial consultation. My only options are to wait out the time which can take even longer depending on wait times for bottom surgery or go private.

I've been recommended a doctor that multiple trans women have gone to for their surgeries but his cost will be around £15,000, so I decided to make my goal to be £18,000 to take any travel, accommodation, consultations, referrals and withdrawal fees that I may encounter.

I'll be looking at ways to save money that I can to help make this dream a reality sooner as I am currently working a job that if I saved some money on the side every paycheck, it would still take me years to save enough money to pay for this.

I've been terrified about taking this step to achieve this goal. This is something I have been considering doing for several months now and I've fully decided to jump in.
