Meadowvale Farm Relief Fund

Stephanie and Damien operate the Meadowvale Farm Equestrian Center.  Meadowvale offers horse riding lessons, boarding services and run local horse shows in the West Ottawa region.

 

On Saturday May 21st, a severe storm devastated Meadowvale Farm. Based on the damage we believe it was a tornado. The damage includes the complete destruction of the indoor riding arena, main barn, some horse shelters, and other outbuildings.  Other property damage includes fences down, trees and debris all over the property.

 

The house also suffered substantial damage including substantial damage to a large portion of the roof, windows and doors broken, and the decking damaged. These personal damages are not included in this campaign.

 

Due to deductibles, damage not covered (fencing, shelters, trees etc) and value restrictions to the riding arena we believe there will be significant costs to the owners.  After the Covid19 pandemic restrictions this is an additional blow. 

 

Fortunately, there were no human injuries or deaths related to the storm at Meadowvale Farm. Two horses had lacerations that have now been stitched up and treated by the veterinarian. A full recovery is expected.
