Meals for Love Chapel

During the Covid-19 crisis, many people in the Columbus community are struggling to make ends meet, including obtaining food for their next meal.  Love Chapel has seen an increase in need for food, and Columbus Sunrise Rotarians have stepped up to the challenge to help.  We are using club funds to help provide meals to Love Chapel for those in town who need it.  We're asking others in the community to partner with us by making a donation to further this program. 
Currently, it costs around $3 per meal, and we have funds to provide 300 meals a week for six weeks.  With your help, we can help even more people!

Did you know? Under the CARES Act, any individual taxpayer who does not elect to itemize his or her deductions may take a qualified charitable contribution deduction of up to $300 in 2020. A qualified charitable contribution is a charitable contribution (i) made in cash, (ii) for which a charitable contribution deduction is otherwise allowed, and (iii) that is made to certain publicly supported charities.

*Brittany is treasurer of Columbus Sunrise Rotary and will be withdrawing donated funds to make meals that benefit Love Chapel.  We are working with GoFundMe to better clarify this.
