Meals for Warren Standards ICU Team
Donation protected
My brother Warren Standard Sr. lives in New York, the hotspot for the COVID19 pandemic. This is a fast-progressing disease that has medical professionals and scientists scratching their heads.
Warren was exposed sometime during the last week of March. He first started coughing on Monday, March 30th, 2020, and he spiked a high fever 3 days later. He was tested for the coronavirus on Friday of that same week and was confirmed positive on Sunday, April 5th. He was hospitalized on April 10th and emergently placed on life support on Wednesday, April 15th.
The Medical Staff of St. Charles Hospital: Doctors, Nurses, Physician Ass't, Respiratory Therapists, and Medical Ass't are our heroes. They are doing a fantastic job with such compassion as they care for him while he fights for his life against this virus. They have an overwhelming, exhausting, stressful, and emotionally draining job, and I want to say thank you. I want them to know my family appreciates all they are doing to care for Warren while they also try to support us remotely.
Warren's progress is very slow, and he has some good days and some bad days. I suspected he might be there for a few more weeks. In the big picture, this is a very small gesture, but I would like to say thank you by providing meals for St. Charles Hospital's COVID19 team. In the middle of a crazy day, worry about what to eat should be the last thing they need to think about. I will coordinate with local restaurants to supply the food and with the hospital's care coordinator to get it up to them.
I'm asking that you join us in prayer for his healing and recovery. I'm also asking for your contribution to this meal fund so I can help feed the amazing ICU staff at St. Charles Hospital, Port Jefferson, NY.
