Meals from Marlow
Donation protected
Tom Kerridge and a group from Marlow have launched a voluntary initiative, currently providing 750 free meals a day to local healthcare workers, other frontline workers and deserving people within the local community.
Founders Tom Kerridge, Chris Hughes from Pub in The Park and local entrepreneur and businessman Andy Agar have been joined by Mayor Richard Scott, Council Leader Jocelyn Towns, Town Clerk Hilary Martin and Rector of All Saints Church Dave Bull.
We are hoping to raise £175,000 to fund at least 43,750 meals. We are very grateful to have received initial donations of £10,000 each from Pub in The Park and Origin Door & Windows.
Organisations being helped include:
FRONT LINE STAFF
- Staff of High Wycombe Hospital
- Staff of Wexham Park Hospital
THE VULNERABLE IN OUR COMMUNITIES
Marlow Town Council are delivering with All Saints Church to those in need identified through the Marlow C-19 Facebook group, Age Concern and all the local schools that are currently open. We are also working with The Link Foundation to provide meals for those in need in Maidenhead and Slough.
HOW IT WORKS
The Meals from Marlow initiative is to be operated entirely by volunteers and is not for profit. Tom has kindly donated his production kitchen and will be supervising food production and hygiene. Professional Chefs will band together, donating their time and effort to help Tom and the team. Admin staff and management is being provided by Pub In The Park and Andy Agar, free of charge.
BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP... PLEASE DONATE!
We are now hoping to raise over £175,000 to fund at least 43,750 meals. To produce 750 meals a day, £21,000 a week is required. Each meal we make costs just £4 to produce. We welcome all donations, big or small, to help us reach our goal. You can donate to Meals from Marlow via this GoFundMe Campaign.*
Tom Kerridge: "We want to do our bit to help as many people as possible and the response so far has been fantastic. We are reaching out from and within Marlow to those most in need. Please help us by donating."
*Funds raised in this campaign will withdrawn by Justin Phillips into the Meals from Marlow bank account, then be transferred direct to Tom Kerridge and Lush Catering, to purchase the ingredients required to produce the meals.
