Help keep us in our home

Hey everyone! Thank you for taking the time to check this out and hear our story.
I'm Fred, or Veery if you know me from Twitter, and I'm setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of my mom, my partner, and myself. We all live together, and we all have disabilities that make it difficult or impossible to work. We've struggled with making our mortgage payments since 2018, when my mom got into a car accident that changed our lives forever.
Our goal is to raise enough money to pay back our delinquent mortgage payments, which would leave us with a monthly mortgage payment of about $1493 (about $50 less than it was before, due to a change in escrow). That will leave us tight, but should be manageable once my partner, Ethan, is able to begin employment through a supported work program (two months after intake into the program--his intake should be happening soon).
Last year, we applied to our mortgage company's assistance program, and asked for a mortgage modification. After months and months of paperwork and waiting, they've gotten back to us--and raised the mortgage payment by about $100 per month, instead of lowering it. During that time, we were unable to pay the full amount of our mortgage payment for several months.
If we don't raise the money for the payments we've missed, we'll have to accept the modification agreement, and pay over $1650 per month. We'd have a trial period of three months, during which, if we miss a payment, we'd go directly into the foreclosure process.
So, those are our two options right now--come up with $6000 plus July's mortgage payment and have a mortgage under $1500, or accept the modification and pay $1650 per month with no room to miss a payment so that we don't go into foreclosure.
In either case, we'll need help raising the funds to keep us in our house, and any money donated would go directly to our mortgage payments.
My mom has lived in this house since 2005, and so have I, aside from time in college. Ethan has lived here with me and my mom since 2015. We all love this house and the property it's on; it's the ideal place for us and our pets, and it brings us a lot of joy. It's not perfect, but it's ours, and that's important. We would all be heartbroken to have to give this up and lose so much of what we love. If we lose this house, we'll most likely have to find new homes for most of our pets as well.
Thank you so much for reading, and though I know everyone's in a difficult place right now, we would so appreciate any help you could give. Please share this widely so we can get as many people seeing it as possible!
