Medical and End of Life Costs for Jay St James
It is hard to put into words what Jay means to this world. Jay makes a mark on the world anywhere they go. You won’t forget this human once you have made their acquaintance. Jay changes the landscape, creates a new path, and shines a bright light for others to follow. This world is made better by Jay’s presence. Please help me give Jay the healing, comfort, stability, and safety they need as they navigate end of life care around terminal cancer. Jay is no stranger to cancer. Having survived colon cancer in the 30’s and thinking it gone forever, it has returned. Jay is facing metastases of the original cancer which is now in both lungs. The original prognosis was 1 year but having changed care providers to a state of the art cancer treatment facility we are being given 3 years. Jay is finishing this round of chemo and looking at more scans to assess any changes. Jay is manifesting 30 more years with their kids.
The past several years have been so intense. Cancer, sexual assault, friends murdered, felony charges for protesting a police sexual assault, enduring stalking and harassment and so many more stressors that no one should have to endure. Please join together in creating a safety net for Jay and their children. The children have been through so much. Throughout all of this chaos Jay continued to work hard to provide a sense of safety for their kids. Jay was able to purchase a home out of state. Being able to pay off the house to ensure lifetime housing stability for their kids is THE most important goal.
Jay needs support to help chemo be a little less torturous. Comfort items, food delivery, hair and accessories, gas, medications, supplements, hotel rooms, and so many other things to ease the pain of cancer treatment and a terminal prognosis. Please give generously and share widely.
Jay St James "My final wish is to leave my kids the stability I’ve built and keep them out of harms way by remaining housed and with family."
Jay is a parent, sex worker, activist, friend, auntie, educator, and all around amazing human. If you want to know more about the sexual assault, protest, and felony charges read here: https://www.vice.com/en/article/dyv8jv/an-oregon-woman-says-a-police-officer-raped-her-she-was-the-one-arrested
