Medical and Funeral Costs for hit & run victim

Hi there,

My name is Wade Dumont and I started this fundraiser for my wife, Brenda Palmieri, and our son, Maverick.

On December 16, 2022 my wife Brenda was the victim of a hit and run accident. She was run over by a pick up truck while waiting for the bus; the driver fleeing the scene and leaving Brenda laying on the side of the road, bleeding to death in -30 weather in the dark for over 17 minutes. Heartbreakingly, our unborn son, Maverick, who was scheduled to be born on January 3rd 2023 was killed as a result of the accident. My wife was then flown on life support to Vancouver General and remains there in ICU today. She is stable and conscious but has a long and difficult road of recovery ahead of her. All while dealing with the loss of our son, and having to deal with the funeral and the pain and grief of losing a child.

I started this fundraiser with the hope of helping our family deal with Brenda's recovery and mourn the loss of our son without having to worry about expenses and medical equipment, etc.

This money will go towards funeral costs for our son, Maverick, as well as helping us get any medical equipment Brenda may need and to help pay any other bills or expenses that may arise so that we can focus wholly on grieving the loss of our son and getting Brenda healed, recovered and as close to her normal life as we can get her.

Any help is greatly appreciated and every bit helps. All funds from this GoFundMe page will be transferred directly to my wife, Brenda so she can plan our son's funeral and pay for any medical equipment she's told that she will need to help in her recovery.
