Funeral costs for Terry Reece

As you all know my dad, Terry Reece lost his fight with metastatic melanoma on Father’s Day. Unfortunately I was under the impression that he had everything paid for as far as the funeral goes and come to find out it wasn’t. There are a lot of bills that I am left now to figure out including the cremation and funeral costs, and the costs associated with his stay at Providence hospital for his broken leg, in home hospice. Including the medications and supply charges. He broke his leg getting out of bed and under went a very extensive surgery to put titanium rods in to stabilize the bone before he was sent home last Sunday to finish out his days on hospice at home with his amazing girlfriend Helen. Helen has been amazing in the fact that she was there for him and helped him until he left us. Once sitting down and crunching numbers we realized his insurance through the state would not cover the hospice bill. They also would not cover his hospital stay until he met an extremely large deductible. My dad was retired and his retirement ended when he passed so there is no money to help fund these large bills so anything helps. We are doing the best we can to figure things out while also grieving. I am my dads only child and unfortunately do not make enough money alone to be able to pay for all of this on my own. I appreciate everyone that has reached out to me and offered their support through this extremely difficult time. Losing my brother and then my dad 3 months later to the day has made for an extremely difficult year to say the least. I will post updates as they come.
